{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. Inspired by Soule Mama.
Image: We try running stitch and chain stitch on a calico sampler with assistance from Made by Me: A book of lovely things to make, by Jane Bull.
Soule Mama once did a great post on Ezra sewing some cheese cloth-type fabric - it looked like such good fun I always meant to do it with my girls...but never did! Thanks for reminding me...really must do this *one* day :-)

Looks like our girls had a similar moment. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh I love it! It makes me so happy to see little ones sewing, and with such intensity!
ReplyDeleteOur moment is a snuggle with the kitties:

my 10 year old daughter spent the entire day yesterday making her own Waldorf doll using the sewing machine and hand stitching. Such fun
ReplyDeleteMy girl (16) is working on an embroidered headband - she's never embroidered before, but loves detail work. This is a great photo to remember. She'll love having these skills for the rest of her life. I'm teaching my 10yo son to knit - hope he enjoys that skill. (found you via soule mama)
ReplyDeleteI love that deep concentration! I'm trying to teach my older kids some needlework skills, as well. So much fun!
ReplyDeleteThat's it! I'm getting the little piece of material out for Sisi! Thanks for the inspiration :)
